A certain seat at the table
"Ever since I was a child I’ve been an extremely vivid dreamer. I remember dreams for years; some of the strongest dreams I’ve ever had were when I was a child and those were some of the worst, most horrible nightmares I’ve ever had, and I still remember them very vividly. Even more than the visual aspects of the dreams, I remember the emotion."

"I am very conscious of the balance of nature, the way things really are or the way they can be if you look at them from a certain perspective. As children or adults we all have perspectives we like to see from - you have a certain seat at the table, you know what I mean? You choose a certain seat because you like that perspective. I guess my paintings come out a certain way because, whether consciously or unconsciously, I have chosen a certain perspective - or a certain seat at the table."
